A Christmastime favorite.
Combine evaporated milk, butter and sugar in a buttered sauce pan. Heat to boiling. Cook for at least 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
Add marshmallows, chocolate bits, and vanilla (nuts as well if you want them mixed into the fudge). Stir until chocolate and marshmallows are melted.
Pour into buttered 8 or 9-inch square pan. Garnish with nuts if desired. Cool. Cut into small bite-sized squares.
