Description

My boyfriend makes the best chewy, flavorful and delicious chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had! He’s a keeper!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¾ cups Melted Butter
  • 1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups White Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 whole Egg Yolk
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ teaspoons Almond Extract
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cups Chopped Walnuts Or Pecans (optional)

Preparation

First preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Grease your cookie sheet or line it with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
In a medium sized bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract and almond extract. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts at this time. Scoop 1/4 cup of cookie dough and drop it onto your cookie sheet. The cookies should be about 3 inches apart because they will get HUGE!

Bake the cookies for 15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let the cookies sit for a few minutes on the cookie sheet after you pull them out of the oven and then transfer to a cooling wrack. Serve with a huge glass of milk!
