Description

A sweet and easy recipe for a dozen fudgy Double Chocolate Salted Cookies. Perfect for a rainy summer day or two!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • ½ cups Brown Or Demerara Sugar
  • ¼ cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1  Egg (large)
  • 1-⅓ cup Whole Wheat Flour Or All Purpose Flour
  • ¼ cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2-½ teaspoons Sea Salt, Divided
  • ⅓ cups Sea Salt And Caramel Dark Chocolate, Finely Chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons White Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF and grease a cookie pan with butter. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, mix butter, sugars and pure vanilla extract together. Beat in egg and whisk until mixture is smooth and well combined.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt. Add flour mixture to butter and sugar mixture, and combine wet and dry ingredients together until cookie batter is well mixed and thick. Fold in chopped chocolate chunks and white chocolate chips.

Drop cookie batter onto greased cookie pan, in even round shapes using a tablespoon or designated cookie scoop. Scatter remaining 1 teaspoon of salt loosely on top of each cookie round.

Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately transfer to a wire rack for cooling. Cool completely before serving.
