Description

These cookies are awesome! If you like chocolate, you will love these.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Cups Melted Butter Margarine
  • 1 White Sugar
  • 1 Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla
  • DRY INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 3/4 Cup Cocoa
  • 2 To 3 1/2 Flour ( Start With 2 Cups And Add More If Needed )
  • 2 Cups ( 12 Oz. Bag) Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Stir melted butter and both sugars together in a bowl by hand. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.

Sift dry ingredients together and gradually add to the mixture. Add more flour if needed to make a stiff dough, and add chocolate chips.

Scoop onto cookie sheets (preferably with an ice cream scoop to make cookies thick and chewy) in large balls and bake at 325F for 12 minutes, until set around the edges but soft in the center.

Cool on cookie sheets for 5 minutes, then cool on cooling racks. Store in an airtight container.

Makes 30 to 40 cookies.

Just baked these and am chewing as I speak. Very delicious without being overly sweet. I used peanut butter chips rather than chocolate chips and they are delicious. I used about 2 1/3 cups of flour to achieve a consistency that allowed me to roll the dough into balls and then flatten just a bit. YUM!
