Easy melt-in-your-mouth custard cookies.
1. Preheat the oven to 365°F.
2. Sift icing sugar, flour and custard powder into a bowl and mix together.
3. Add butter and vanilla and kneed until you have a smooth dough.
4. Shape the dough into little balls.
5. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and place the balls on top, leaving an inch or two between each.
6. Press the balls gently down with a fork.
7. Bake for about 20 minutes.

Dear yankee4life, custard powder is basically a powdered mix used to make custard. They should sell it at World Market, however, if you are not able to find it you could just substitute it for the equal amount of instant pudding mix.

Dear duchess, thank you so much for noticing my mistake and sorry for the confusion. The recipe has been edited. It’s sticks of butter.

I noticed on your blog post that the butter measurement was different than what’s posted here (sticks vs cups) – could you clarify which is correct? These look delicious!
