A delightful cookie perfect for your holiday cookie plate or for any time, really. My whole family loves these!
Cream butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer at high speed until soft. Add the sugar gradually and mix until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract; combine well.
In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt together. Add this mixture gradually to the butter and sugar mixture, and combine well.
Refrigerate dough for 30-60 minutes. Extract dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet using a cookie gun. If desired, brush on egg wash and sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles. Bake at 400 degrees for 7-8 minutes, or until slightly golden around the edges.
