Salty and sweet, toffee like cracker cookies.
Heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray. Lay out the crackers so they cover the entire bottom of the pan.
Melt the brown sugar and butter in the microwave and bring it to a boil. This will take approximately 2 minutes. Remove from the microwave and whisk to combine the ingredients. Be careful—it will be very hot. Pour the mixture over the crackers in the pan. Try to spread it around with a spatula and cover the crackers without moving them out of place.
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the entire bag of chocolate chips on top of the hot crackers. Let them sit until the chips have melted then evenly spread the chocolate over the crackers. Immediately sprinkle nuts on top of chocolate. Let the crackers cool in a cool dry place. Then cut or break the crackers into 1 to 2 inch squares. Enjoy.
