A recipe passed down from my grandmother to my mother and now to me. Delicious around Christmastime or wintertime with a cup of hot chocolate.
Mix together butter, sugar and vanilla. Add the egg after beating. Stir in flour and salt until blended. Add chocolate chips.
Roll batter into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet, 9 to 12 at a time.
Bake each batch for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Let cookies cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar.

I like-like snowball cookies of many varieties. Why I never thought to add chocolate to the mix, I’ll never know. Great idea! I’ll be trying these soon.
