This recipe was given to me by a woman in my hometown some 25 years ago. This is still one of my favorites.
1. Cream shortening, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy.
2. Add melted chocolate.
3. Add flour, baking powder and salt (if desired) gradually with the milk.
4. When combined, add nuts and stir well. Chill dough for 3 hours.
5. Roll into 1″ balls, roll in powdered sugar. Bake 350 F for 15 minutes.
Yield: approxiamtely 2-3 dozen
