These cookies are sure to be gone before they have a chance to cool. They are a double chocolate cookie made with melted chocolate rather than cocoa powder and it makes all the difference.
Preheat oven to 375º F.
Melt 2 cups chopped dark chocolate in a saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl and set to the side. Cream the butter and sugars until smooth. Then add the vanilla and combine.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in melted chocolate. Gradually add in the flour mixture. Stir in the 2 C of chocolate chips.
Bake for 8-9 minutes or until cookies are puffed.
