Oatmeal cookies are always great, and these are made even better with a little cinnamon and chocolate chips.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, with an electric mixer, cream the butter, shortening, brown sugar, and sugar together. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and oats, mixing until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls or use a medium-sized cookie scoop onto greased baking sheets and bake for 8 -10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
