Description

These delicious chocolate chip cookies use only a portion of butter than most and are a perfect for lunch box snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Castor Sugar
  • 150 grams Butter
  • 250 milliliters Cream
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 3 cups Plain Flour
  • 3 Tablespoons Custard Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1-½ cup Chocolate Chips

Preparation

Preheat oven to 180ºC (355ºF).

Combine sugar and butter. Add cream and eggs and mix through. Add flour, custard powder, and baking powder. The mix will be quite thick at this point, and I found kneading it with clean hands to mix ingredients worked a lot easier.

Add chocolate chips and knead to mix. Place balls of cookie dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Push down with hand.

Cook until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
