Description
This is the best sugar cookie recipe. So tasty and soft.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sugar
- ¾ cups Butter, Softened
- 2 whole Eggs
- ½ teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2-½ cups Flour
Preparation
Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Mix in baking powder, salt and flour to make a sticky dough. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Roll dough 1/2 inch thick on a floured surface. Cut out cookies and place onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Don’t over bake.
Frost with your favorite butter cream frosting.
Tip: for a change of flavor, add orange extract to the dough and frosting.
