Great on its own or with some lemon icing on top.
Cream butter, sugar and lemon zest together for 5 minutes.
Add eggs one at a time (mixing between each egg).
Mix in salt. Add flour 1 cup at a time mixing in each cup.
Fold in 7 UP last. Pour into well-greased Bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
If you desire ICING:
1/4 c. butter melted
3 tablespoons milk
Juice from the two lemons
Mix well.
Add more sugar or milk if needed.
Pour over cooled cake.
