These fluffy cookies remind me of a chocolate chip cookie, only without the calories.
Eat them with a cup of coffee or hot tea and feel superior that you are sticking to your diet—at least for the moment.
Preheat oven to 300ºF.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar, vanilla and almond extracts until soft peaks form. Continue mixing and gradually add in sugar. Beat until still peaks form. Stir in chocolate chips.
Scoop batter onto a cookie sheet. Dot the tops with extra chocolate chips.
Bake for 20–25 minutes. Cool completely.
