Description

A yummy BBQ sauce enriched with garlic and honey.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Ketchup
  • 1 cup Water Plus 1 Tablespoon, Divided
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • ¼ cups Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Molasses
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Mrs Dash Extra Spicy
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
  • ½ cups Butter

Preparation

1. In a medium sauce pan, over medium heat, mix all the ingredients except for corn starch, 1 tablespoon water and butter. Simmer for 30 minutes.
2. In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch into the remaining 1 tablespoon water (add water if needed). Stir into the sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
3. Add butter to the sauce and simmer until butter is melted and sauce thickens to desired consistency.

WOW! I made this for a chicken breast and I love! this! sauce! Definitely a keeper.

I ran out of barbecue sauce so I tried this recipe and it was great! I added ginger, apple cider vinegar and dry mustard to mine.

This is a really good BBQ sauce. It is almost like a sweet and sour sauce with a garlicky kick, so if you are a S&S fan, you will enjoy this sauce.
