Description

An Indian-inspired onion relish to cool the heat of curries and a delicious topping for naan.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Yellow Onion
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Cayenne
  • ½ teaspoons Dried Pepper Flakes
  • ¼ teaspoons Cumin
  • 1 dash Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Fresh Chopped Cilantro

Preparation

Chop onion into a small covered bowl and add remaining ingredients, reserving cilantro for garnishing. Place a lid on the bowl and gently shake to mix ingredients. Refrigerate for a couple hours and shake the bowl again, open and sprinkle with cilantro. This is great to cool off hot curries or serve with naan.
