Description

A Michigan is a type of chili dog unique to Upstate New York. I know, it doesn’t make sense to me either. This is Tante Chrissy’s recipe for Michigan sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped
  • 1 cup Catsup
  • 3 Tablespoons Vinegar
  • 3 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Yellow Mustard

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a large skillet at the same time.

Simmer until hamburger browns and onions are cooked.

You can also brown the hamburger and combine it with everything else in a slow cooker.

Serve warm over a cooked hot dog.

Top with minced onion if desired.

I have tried making chili sauce for dogs several times with no real luck at all.
This is not only the easiest but the tastiest homemade sauce ever.

Not only is this in my tasty kitchen box, but is in my countertop boxas well.

You have a real winner here.

Thank you
