Chocolate hazelnut spread.
Process nuts in a food processor for about 5 minutes until you get a smooth liquid butter texture.
Meanwhile, melt chocolate over a bain-marie (water bath or double boiler) until smooth. Add the melted chocolate, sugar, cocoa powder, oil and vanilla extract to the hazelnuts and process until smooth.
Transfer the spread into a small sauce pan and cook over low heat for 5 minutes, then place the finished hazelnut chocolate spread to an airtight container. Let cool then refrigerate. Stir before serving.
Makes approximately 1 1/2 cups.

Thanks so much for this recipe! I was having a conversation with a friend about Nutella just before I found this. My 8 yo DD loves it but can’t have soy or dairy! Now I can make it for her with soy and dairy free chocolate and canola oil! She will be thrilled to be able to have Nutella again!
