Hearty Meat Sauce
Description
This meat sauce takes only about 15 minutes and just 1 pot—can’t get any better than that!
Ingredients
- 1 whole Green Pepper, Chopped
- 1 whole Red Pepper, Chopped
- 4 ounces, weight Mushrooms, Chopped
- 1 pound Smoked Sausage, Chopped Into Small Bits
- 1 teaspoon Olive Oil
- ¼ cups Dry Red Wine
- 14-½ ounces, weight Canned Diced Tomatoes, Drained
- 8 ounces, weight Canned Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
Preparation
Saute peppers, mushrooms, and sausage in olive oil until the veggies are tender and meat is heated through. Add wine; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and heat through.
Serves 6.
