Three ingredients and 2 minutes. That’s all that separates you from hot-fudge bliss. A time-worn recipe at our place that never fails to impress!
Pour Karo into a 2-cup glass measuring cup.
Cut the stick of butter in half and add it to the Karo.
Pour the chocolate chips over the top.
Place mixture in the microwave and heat for one minute on high. Remove from the microwave and stir like crazy for about a minute. Return to the microwave and heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute more, stirring every 15 seconds.
As soon as mixture is smooth and drippy, it’s ready to go! As it cools, it will thicken up a bit, and if you pour it over ice-cream it will slowly turn into gooey fudgey candy-like topping!
Note: Obviously, 3 ingredients to perfection is pretty sweet. But if you want to add to the perfection, you can add in a couple drops of good vanilla or another extract such as orange or mint. Or swirl in 1/4 to 1/2 cup of peanut butter at the end! Epic. I suggest making the sauce as per the original version and then figure out what you’d like to add (maybe nothing at all!).
