Pecans, whole wheat flour, and spices blend together for a heavenly breakfast. (in my humble opinion)
1) Beat Eggs in large mixing bowl.
2) Add Milk and Butter.
3) Add all dry ingredients.
4)Add pecans.
5)Grease your waffle iron (I like butter).
6) Pour 1/4 cup batter on to the iron and cook until it gets puffy, leave on iron longer if you like your waffles dark.
Serve these with syrup, butter, honey, powder sugar and strawberries…basically whatever you like!
Cooks Notes:
This recipe can be modified for pancakes, just use 1/4 cup oil instead of butter.
We like ours with side of bacon.
You can add more pecans if you want to or even use whole ones instead of chopped.
Spices amounts can be adjusted as well, if you like a stronger flavor use more, if you like a light flavor use less.
Makes 8 big round waffles using my iron – could make more or less depending on the size and shape of your iron.

Hey, Beagle, your waffles were a huge hit for Sunday brunch! My husband, who’s not a big fan of (Bisquick) waffles, raved about how good yours were. I halved the recipe, used white flour, and hazlenuts (filberts). Thanks for the post!
