While I like the taste of these waffles, they didn’t crisp up very well in my belgian waffle maker. Since bisquik ones crisp up perfectly, I can’t blame my waffle maker. I followed the recipe exactly. Any ideas??

The best waffle recipe I have found in a long time! Just as it says – light and crispy I added 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla – made the waffles nice and sweet!!

We all enjoyed this recipe! I love that it made 7 Beligan waffles. Will be making them again, soon! Thank you!

Soooooooo much better than bisquick . . . thank you for the great recipe. I added a couple dashes of cinnamon & sugar to make my honey’s favorite waffle (heart shaped of course).

NOTE: There is only Baking Powder in this recipe and NOT Baking Soda. When the recipe was featured on the blog, for some reason the person added the Baking soda and my original recipe did not have that. I do not add Baking Soda to my recipe.

When this was posted to the blog, one of the pictures mentioned (in the caption) adding baking soda. I see that isn’t part of the original recipe. Do you recommend adding that as well? And if so, how much? TIA

We make waffles, from scratch every weekend! I can’t wait to try this. I made Emeril’s recipe for Belgian waffles and while delicious, so much work and dirty dishes! these look wonderful!

Yes, the egg yolks go in with the rest of the ingedients. Sorry if this wasnt clear in the directions above. Hope you enjoy the waffles!

Do you use the egg yolks too?
