These Cake Batter Funfetti Waffles bake up golden brown and fluffy. They are flavored just like cake batter and dotted with sprinkles and they serve as an indulgent breakfast!
Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s settings. Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the Bisquick, milk, Greek yogurt, butter extract and egg. Stir thoroughly until mixed well. Fold in sprinkles.
Pour required amount of batter into waffle maker (as specified in the manufacturer’s instructions) and cook until golden brown and done. Once waffle is done, remove it to a plate and repeat with remaining batter.
To prepare whipped cream: In a large bowl, whip heavy cream with an electric or stand mixer until stiff peaks form, about 3-4 minutes. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla.
Serve whipped cream with waffles. Enjoy!
Notes:
1. I used non-fat, Greek yogurt in place of oil in this recipe. If you would rather use oil, add 1 tablespoons to batter in place of the yogurt.
2. Whipped cream can be sweetened depending upon your tastes. I used 1/4 cups of powdered sugar, but you can adjust that to your liking.
