Whole wheat flour, oats, walnuts, pecans– all on a griddle. Everyone goes crazy nuts for these hearty pancakes.
Blend oats into a flour-like consistency.
Combine dry ingredients (flour through salt on the above list – everything except nuts and brown sugar).
Whisk eggs and stir in the brown sugar. Combine this with the rest of the wet ingredients.
Combine dry & wet ingredients and stir in chopped nuts.
Pour 1/4 cups of the batter onto a hot buttered griddle. Cook on one side until little bubbles start forming around the edges. Then flip and cook until done.
Enjoy with your favorite syrup (I really like butter pecan syrup drizzled on these).
