The easiest pancakes you will ever make, made from simple ingredients in your pantry. They take less than 3.5 minutes to assemble, 30 minutes to bake and maybe 4 minutes to eat—if you can make it last that long—and have the most adorable, floppy edges, perfect for sopping up strawberry syrup.
Heat oven to 400°F. Butter two 9-inch cake pans. Put eggs in a blender, cover and process on low speed until pale yellow in color. Increase speed to medium, remove cover and add remaining ingredients; process until smooth. Pour into buttered pans and bake 15 minutes; then reduce heat to 350°F and bake 5-10 minutes. Serve with powdered sugar and strawberry syrup.

We call these Dutch Baby or German pancakes. Straight whole wheat flour might result in a slightly flatter pancake, but a nuttier and more complex flavour

Arwenone, report back with your results when you use whole wheat…I’m interested!

I must try this recipe! Both as is, and then again substituting whole wheat flour. Mmmmmm….
