Sister found this recipe years ago, I think in the newspaper. I have since seen something quite similar on Bed & Breakfast menus.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Melt butter in an 8-inch square baking dish in the microwave. Combine the first five ingredients in a bowl (oats, sugar, dried fruit, nuts, baking powder).
Combine milk, applesauce, and egg in the baking dish. Mix and add this mixture to the oat mixture.
Pour everything back into the baking dish and bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Serve warm. Makes five servings and can be refrigerated and reheated the next day.

I have been wanting to try baked oatmeal for awhile, but the previous recipe I got included maple syrup which I don’t like. This looks great and I can’t wait to try it!
