A hearty and heart-healthy breakfast. Fresh blackberries and peaches mixed with quinoa and sweetened with honey and cinnamon. Almost twice the protein as a bowl of oatmeal. Gluten-free and vegetarian.
Bring milk, water and quinoa to a boil in a saucepan. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed and quinoa is soft and translucent. Remove from heat. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Stir in blackberries, peaches, cinnamon and honey.
Serve in individual bowls and top with additional fresh fruit and pecans. You may want to drizzle a little extra honey on top for some additional sweetness.

Oh wow… this looks wonderful!! I love quinoa, I’ve never tried it for breakfast though. I haven’t tried any summer peaches yet!
