Description

Making your own granola is quick, easy and way less expensive than store-bought. Plus, you’ll know exactly what went into it.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rolled Oats (not The Instant Or Quick Cooking Kind)
  • ½ cups Sliced Almonds
  • ½ cups Sliced Pecans
  • ½ cups Raisins
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 dash Nutmeg
  • 1 dash Salt
  • ½ cups Plus One Tablespoon Honey

Preparation

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, almonds, pecans, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and honey. Mix well.

On a sheet pan, spread out the mixture to make a thin, even layer.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until nicely toasted.

Let cool until the granola hardens and serve or store for later.

Variations:

Add shredded coconut, raw sugar, vanilla extract (or vanilla beans if you want to get fancy), any kind of nut or dried fruit like cranberries or apricots, maple syrup instead of honey, etc. You can get creative – it’s hard to screw this up.
