Description

This family favorite is perfect for company! You can make it ahead of time and it’s delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Sausage, Browned And Grease Drained
  • 6 slices Bread, Cubed And Crust Removed
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 4 whole Eggs, Beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1-¾ cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Preparation

Mix all ingredients together and pour into greased 1-quart baking dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake covered at 325ºF for about 45 minutes, removing cover with about 25 minutes left of baking.

I was eager to taste this recipe, and it was very easy to make! I like that you can prepare it overnight and then bake in the morning. Unfortunately, I think either the cooking times or oven temp is wrong for the recipe – I followed the directions to bake this morning and the casserole was still very watery. Is the total cooking time 45 minutes, or do you bake for 45, then uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes? Thank you!
