Description

Assemble this the night before. We always have it Christmas morning! It bakes while we unwrap gifts. Serve with bacon and cinnamon-y coffee—so good!

Ingredients

  • 8 slices Your Favorite Cinnamon Swirl Breakfast Bread
  • 6 whole Large Eggs
  • 2 cups Your Favorite Eggnog
  • ⅓ cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Grated Nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter

Preparation

The night before you want to eat this for breakfast, spray a 13×9 cooking dish with oil spray. Arrange your bread in the bottom of the dish, overlapping the slices. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the eggnog, sugar, and spices. Pour this over the bread slices and dot with butter. Cover with Saran wrap, pressing down on the bread to soak up the egg mixture. The next morning, preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and bake for about an hour. About halfway through, press down again on the slices. Watch it carefully so it doesn’t get too browned. Serve warm with maple syrup.
