Fun twist on classic eggs and toast for breakfast!
With a shot glass or small biscuit cutter, press a hole into the center of each piece of bread. Do not discard the bread holes.
Add the butter to a large skillet over medium heat. When butter is melted, place the pieces of bread into the skillet. (Work in batches if your skillet can’t hold all four pieces of bread.) Add the bread holes to the skillet and toast them alongside the bread slices. Let the bread slices toast for about a minute.
Gently crack an egg into the center of each hole. Cook for about 2 minutes. Gently flip each piece of bread with a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, remove from skillet and serve with the toasted bread holes for dipping.
