How to make hard boiled eggs in the oven!

Ingredients

  • 12 whole Eggs

Preparation

Preheat oven to 325 F. Place 1 dozen eggs into the holes in a 12-count muffin pan. Bake 25-30 minutes (mine took 25, this will depend on your oven). When done, remove the pan from the oven. Place eggs in a cold water bath until cool. Peel.

Notes: Some brown spots may appear on shells and whites from baking. The shells will wash off easily in the water bath. Any brown spots on the whites will remain.

Inspired by Alton Brown.

Hi Cook and Be Happy! Yes, I note the brown spots on the original blog post on my website… that is the drawback to doing it this way. I’m intrigued by your water idea. If you try it, please do let me know if it works! Thank you! :)

I love this method so much more, however, my eggs ended up having “burn” spots in them. It was where the egg was touching the muffin tin. Do you think it would help to put a little water in the bottom?
