Description

This is the most amazing addition to your breakfast or brunch. Serve this when having friends for coffee or add it to your Christmas morning meal. The combination of the cranberries and citrus packed into the sweet bread is the best way to start your day!

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces, weight Craisins (Dried Cranberries)
  • 24 pieces Frozen Rolls (like Rhodes), Thawed But Still Cold
  • ¼ cups Butter, Melted
  • 1 cup Sugar, Divided
  • 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 3 Tablespoons Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Grated Orange Rind
  • 1 Tablespoon Grated Lemon Rind
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 5 teaspoons Fresh Lemon Juice

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Press 1 teaspoon of Craisins into each thawed roll. Place rolls in a 9×13″ pan coated with cooking spray.

Combine butter, half of the sugar, cream cheese and orange juice; blend well and pour over the rolls. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until double in size.

Combine remaining sugar, orange and lemon rinds, and any remaining Craisins; sprinkle over the risen rolls.

Bake immediately for 25 minutes or until the center is done.

Combine powdered sugar and lemon juice; drizzle over rolls.

Note: My rolls will sometimes spill over my pan, making a bit of a mess in my oven. To prevent this, place a baking sheet or aluminum foil underneath to catch any spills.
