Keep your campers happy with this tasty Dutch oven casserole!
Liberally grease a 10″ camp-style Dutch oven (the ones with legs on the bottom) with the drippings from browning the sausage. Scramble eggs and milk together. Add browned breakfast sausage and hash brown potatoes. Stir in all but 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Pour into prepared Dutch oven. Top with remaining cheese and bake with hot coals (from the bed of the campfire) underneath and hot coals on top until cooked through, about 30-40 minutes. Be sure to rotate the lid clockwise and the base counter clockwise every 15 minutes to avoid hot spots. You may need to add additional hot coals halfway through the cooking process.
