This is a yummy breakfast dish to either make ahead the night before or throw together in the morning. It’s a big hit at our house!
Place 4 slices of bread in a greased 9×9 baking dish. Top with 3 sliced bananas and remaining 4 slices of bread. Blend milk, cream cheese, eggs, sugar, flour, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in raisins. Pour over bread. Let stand for 5 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350F for 40 to 45 minutes (or for 50 to 55 minutes if refrigerated). Let stand for 10 minutes until set. Cut bread slices into halves and serve. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar for a nice touch!
This recipe is VERY easy to double and make in a 9×13 pan.
