Description

Baked Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Sticks make an easy breakfast that’s loaded with flavor!

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons White Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 6 slices Texas Toast (or Other Thick Bread, Such As Challah)
  • ½ cups Milk, Any Kind (I Used 2%)
  • 3  Eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Nutmeg

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Line a large baking pan with parchment paper or grease well with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk white sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

Cut each slice of bread into 3 strips. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk milk, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Dunk each slice of bread into egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Place onto prepared pan and sprinkle each stick with half of cinnamon sugar topping.

Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven, flip sticks to opposite side and sprinkle with the rest of cinnamon sugar topping. Return to oven and bake for 10–12 more minutes, or until french toast sticks are cooked through and golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Serve with syrup for dunking, if desired. Enjoy!
