This is a great recipe for those who don’t like sausage (like me). Also, this gravy is so good it can be served over homemade biscuits or the canned type for biscuits and gravy. We like to make this for “Breakfast for Dinner” nights.
In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp; remove bacon to paper towels. Stir flour into the drippings until blended; cook over medium heat until browned. Stirring constantly. Gradually add water and milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over freshly baked biscuits.
