Description

Here’s an easy bread that will make any pepperoni lover happy. Easy to throw together and easy to eat the whole loaf!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1-½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Kosher Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • ¾ cups Milk
  • ½ cups Shredded Parmesan Cheese, Divided
  • 1-½ cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 cup Quartered Pepperoni Slices, About 32 Slices
  • ¾ cups Your Favorite Marinara Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and spray a small bread pan measuring 9x5x2 3/4 inches with nonstick cooking spray.

Place flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and pepper into the bowl of a stand or electric mixer; mix to combine. Slowly add in eggs, oil, milk, half of the Parmesan, mozzarella and pepperoni until just combined. Pour half of the batter into the prepared bread pan. Top evenly with marinara sauce then pour the remaining batter over the sauce. Top with Italian seasoning and the remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes clean from the center. Let cool for 30 minutes before removing from the pan. Slice and serve warm or room temperature.

We really enjoyed this bread and it was quick to throw together! It had a lovely texture and a nice pizza flavor! We ate it with salad but it would be equally good for a soup night. I may try making it in a sheet pan next time so it can be cut into squares but thats my crazy idea :) In the recipe you left out how much marinara to use. Thankfully I found it on your blog but you may want to update that here if you can. It really is delicious and something I’ll make again. I can’t wait to try it with some minestrone in the winter. :)
