Savory biscuits that have a dirty family secret: they’re alcoholic.
Heat oven to 425F.
Whisk together flours, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter or margarine. Stir in the beer, just enough to bring the dough together. You should have a soft dough that’s not sticky and is easy to handle.
Turn out dough onto a smooth surface that has been lightly floured with whole wheat flour. Knead in the spinach but be careful not to overknead the dough.
Pat the dough to 1-inch thick and cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter or a juice glass. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the tops begin to brown lightly.
