Description

A chocolate lover’s dream.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ¾ cups Cocoa Powder
  • 1 stick Butter Or Margarine, Melted
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1-½ cup Chocolate Semisweet Chocolate Chips (or Whatever You Have On Hand)

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa powder.

In another bowl, mix together melted margarine or butter, egg, milk, and vanilla.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir till combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. (By the way, these are also amazing with butterscotch, white chocolate, Andes mint bits, or Heath bar bits.)

Divide the batter among greased muffin cups or a muffin tin lined with muffin papers, filling them about 3/4 of the way full. Bake at 400ºF for 20 minutes.

Enjoy!

I made these for a Valentine brunch at church this year. They turned out phenomenally! Nice & rounded. I made a batch with chocolate chips & a batch with butterscotch chips. I topped both with miniature kisses/resses/rolos which I softened slightly on the oven before serving. LOVE it! Will make these often.

These were great. I used Dark Chocolate cocoa powder and dark chocolate chips. The darker the better. I cooked them for 18 minutes because my oven cooks hotter. Thanks for posting this

This was pretty good, but I think you can add a lot more different flavors to really make it exceptional. :)

These were beautiful as well as delicious. My husband loved them so much that we ended up writing up a recipe card right away – these are sure to become a staple at our house!
