A simple, delicious take on your average dinner roll! Absolutely scrumptious!
1. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a small mixing bowl. (Note that you could also use 1 cup of self-rising flour instead of this mixture.) And feel free to go lighter on the salt—a biscuit made with less salt and served with a creamy, salty butter is delicious!
2. Add cheese to the flour mixture. Depending on what I’m serving the biscuits with, sometimes I like to add a bit more cheese for extra flavor. And feel free to be flexible with the type of cheese you use. My favorite is a super-aged cheddar!
3. Stir milk and mayonnaise into the mixture, just until moistened.
4. Fill 6 greased muffin cups 2/3 full.
5. Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until biscuit tops are golden brown.

These are so easy and good. Great for busy week night baking.

Thanks guys! I forgot to add that whole-wheat flour also works really well for this recipe.

Very tasty (good combination of crunchy outside / chewy inside) and couldn’t be easier. I doubled the recipe and was glad I did. Only changes I would make next time are to use a sharper / more flavorful cheese and try adding some Italian seasoning or dill. But great as-is.

I made these last night to go with some veggi/bean soup I make a couple times a month. They were super easy, fast, and YUMMY. I would not change a thing. Thanks so much!
