A simply delicious tomato basil bruschetta.
Combine diced tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, vinegar and basil in a bowl, stir. Cover and let marinate.
Slice the loaf of bread, on the bias, into 3/4-inch slices. Place bread in oven on sheet pan and broil until golden brown on both sides, approximately 2 minutes for the first side and 1 to 1 1/2 minutes for the second side. Remove to a platter and rub each slice of bread with the garlic and then brush with olive oil. Using a slotted spoon, top with tomatoes and serve immediately.

I made this for my holiday cocktail party that is just wine, and everyone loved it! I did not use as many tomatoes, only about 2 pounds of on the vine, and I added 4-5 cloves of garlic. Thanks for the recipe!

So tasty! I ran out of time and didn’t grill the bread, and it was still fantastic.

This is delicious really juicy! I had never before used heirloom tomatoes so I was plenty surprised by the meaty juiciness of this special variety.
