I got this recipe from a friend of a friend of a friend, and I made it to increase my milk supply. HOWEVER, I quickly realized that this may be the best Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I’ve ever had! The flax seed meal and brewer’s yeast give extra nutritional value. So try it, even if you’re not lactating. My friends and family LOVE these, and I bet you will, too!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flax seed meal and the water and let sit for 3-5 minutes. Combine butter and sugars in a large mixing bowl and beat well. Add eggs, and beat more. Add flax seed meal and vanilla and beat well.
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, brewer’s yeast, baking soda and salt. Slowly add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dough on a cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes and let sit on the cookie sheet a couple minutes before transferring to a wire rack for cooling.

Also, if you can’t find brewer’s yeast, (baker’s yeast/fresh yeast) you can use half the amount of dried yeast. I don’t know if this has quite the same benefit, but it’s better than nothing.
