The perfect antidote to cold weather! An easy-peasy tomato bisque that beats a can of Campbell’s any day. Delicious with a good ole-fashioned grilled cheese and ham sandwich.
In a medium saucepan, saute butter and garlic over medium heat, until slightly golden brown. Add chicken broth, tomato sauce, basil, bay leaf, and heavy cream, stirring occasionally, heating all the way through. Add sugar and/or salt to taste. Enjoy!
Note: Spice it up a bit by adding onions to step 1 (with the garlic), or for a thicker bisque, add a 6 ounce can of tomato paste.
