I’ve been serving this for breakfast for at least 40 years. It is one of our favorites. It is easy to prepare and so sweet and good. It has to sit overnight in the fridge, so your breakfast is hassle-free. Great for company.
Trim edges from the bread, then cube bread. Put about 2/3 of the cubed bread in the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
Cube cream cheese and put on the bread, then put remaining bread on the cream cheese. Hand whip the eggs, add syrup and milk. Pour over bread and cream cheese. Keep in the fridge overnight. Cook at 375F for 45 minutes uncovered.
Serve with warm pure maple syrup separately. Pour generous amounts of syrup on individual servings.

I’m seriously intrigued by this dish! I’m planning on having a bunch of people over later this month and I’m gonna make this!
