Nice and easy. I think I would have liked it better with a tad of sugar in it.

love this!! my 7-year-old disagrees, however; but you can’t count on her taste. Had a glitch–the milk/half-n-half curdled on me–any tips on preventing this? I did puree it with my immersion blender, which helped a lot. I’ll make the lil’ one taste it ten more times, before I give up.

I made this the other night – so simple and so easy! I loved it – I didn’t have the basil oil and it was still great! This will be made again for sure!

Tried this last night and was a hit with my family! I used Olive Oil as the oil and it was delicious! I love the idea of putting parmesan and croutons on the top…OMG! Thank you so much for the recipe!

Hi kkd555 – the basil oil takes it to “the next level” so to speak, but you can certainly do without. I like your idea of adding pesto. A few fresh basil leaves would be nice too. To me, there’s a huge flavor difference between fresh and dried basil, so having a little of each flavor works really well in this soup.
Enjoy!!
