  • 1 cup White Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 2 cups Applesauce
  • 2 whole Eggs, Beaten

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts
  • 1 cup Raisins

Preparation

Cream butter and sugars. Stir soda into the applesauce. Add to mixture. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift all the dry ingredients into mix. Add nuts and raisins. Bake at 375 F for 15 minutes.

These would work how ever you would like to make them. With or without the nuts or raisins. My husband always suggests that chocolate chips would be great. I haven’t tried it but they would be sort of like pumpkin chocolate chip cookies then. Like all recipes I think this is just a base and you make it your own by adding what you like.

These are yummy. The recipe makes many more than 36 which is a good thing as I like to have fresh cookies available. I didn’t add raisins, but I’m sure the cookies would taste great with them. Another winner from Tasty Kitchen.

My kids don’t care for raisins. Do you think these would turn out if I left them out?

More like cake than cookie, but who doesn’t like cake?
