Even though the Sausage Gravy is the star of this meal, don’t forget to serve it with biscuits! From a can or homemade, whatever tickles your fancy. The best thing about this recipe is that it’s so good but super easy to make!
Brown the onion and sausage in a deep saucepan at medium heat. Once the meat has browned, don’t drain the fat. I told you this was going to be good!
Stir in the flour and cook on low heat for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour in the half-and-half and add all the seasonings. Okay, I have to admit it, you could use whole milk or any milk of your liking, but it isn’t going to be as good unless you use the half-and-half. Trust me.
After you add all the goods, turn the heat up to medium and stir the gift from God until it boils and finally thickens to the perfect gravy.
Serve with biscuits. Enjoy!

Got your message, Girly Girl Cooks. I will let you know, but I am sure it will pass the southern test. I have the ingredients on my list, but I haven’t been to the store—–too cold—–don’t you hate it when the temp drops below 70???????

I’ve never tried the sage sausage, but this recipe has inspired me. I will let you know if it passes the “southern”
test of sausage and bisquits. Thank you for the recipe.

This sounds really good. One thing I miss about living in the south is always the delicious biscuits and gravy. Good job.
