Shared with me from a friend in Georgia, our family became instant addicts to this chocolate sensation. It may sound funky but its delicious beyond description. Glopped on fresh baked buttered biscuits, you are eating a piece of heaven. Beware though, its prolly NOT calorie friendly…but you won’t care!
Prepare frozen biscuits according to package directions while making the gravy.
In a large skillet, combine the cocoa, sugar and flour. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, over medium heat. Continue cooking till the gravy is thick. (about the consistency of pudding) Serve over hot buttered biscuits.
*I have tried using dark cocoa powder but the taste was a bit off. Needed more sugar I think so if you can, stick to the regular cocoa.

I tried two totally different chocolate gravy recipes this past weekend and they both went in the garbage disposal. I haven’t had it in years and the person who made it for me is long gone so I am hoping that this is the recipe to beat all!

I can’t wait to make this for my daughter. My mom is spending the night with us tonight, and she would make it for me when I was young. This is definitely our breakfast menu for tomorrow.
I’m starting the bacon tonight!

My grandmother used to make chocolate sandwiches; we’d spread the chocolate sauce over buttered bread. YUMMY. Thanks for the memories!
